Starting from the estate of La Magia, where they produce the famous Brunello, we start our adventure across the sun-drenched vineyards to the Abbey of Sant'Antimo (Abbazia di Sant'Antimo), a beautiful Romanesque church. It sits in a large valley with views of the hill town Castelnuovo dell'Abate, rolling hills covered in olive groves and vineyards, and wild forests. Sant'Antimo is "one of the finest Romanesque religious buildings in Italy." The church dates from the 12th century. The monks chant prayers at scheduled times and it is beautiful to hear. Listen to the Cucco birds and see the beautiful lupupau and Maggpi, as we make our way to Montenero.
The breathtaking view includes Monte Amiata, the Val D’Orcia with the hills of Montalcino in the background, and the medieval village of Montenero, and the Maremma in the distance.
Impossible to find on the internet, this small town holds two jewels, Perazetta winery and Flavios restaurant Antica Fattoria del Grottaione, where we will enjoy a lunch beyond description in typical tuscan style and taste. Swirl some wine with Allesandro Bocci first, and learn about our Small Vineyards Production of hand harvested, family owned wines from estates you have never heard of, but oh, so delicious.

If you would like to use your own car/guide, we will make the arrangements to the Vineyards you would like to visit, to make your outing enjoyable and welcoming, which will still include tours, wine tastings, and antipasti where mentioned at the estates.
If you do not have a car, our guides supply transportation in a "Small Vineyards" car, and for 6-8 persons, a van is supplied.
