We begin at the shore of Lago Trasimeno, Italy's 4th largest Lake and home to two islands.

The lake itself is stunning when viewed from a distance but it is a historic site and one well worth viewing, if best from afar. Trasimeno is Italy's largest non-Alpine lake. At 20 feet, its deepest point, with reed-filled marshes on many of its shores, the lake acts as a giant mirror reflecting beautiful mountains on the north and east sides and giving way to rolling hills on the west and south. The lake figures prominently in ancient history. Hannibal ambushed two of Rome's legions there in 217 BC. Over 15,000 legionnaires died in the conflagration. According to legend, the Roman commander should have known to avoid battle that day. The sacred chickens refused to eat their breakfast, a dead giveaway that Rome's prospects were not good.

We walk from here, up and over the hill from Umbria to Tuscany to find the beautiful gardens of Reinhardt awaiting us as we continue onto Parco Fiorito for lunch under the Pergola, and a delightful tasting of Small Vineyard Wines. With the gorgeous pool, and Cortona on the hillside, this is a perfect Italian day.

Prepared to be wowed by Chef Roberto Russo's organic farm made products, like melt-in-your-mouth proscuitto, and pancetta, and organic greens and vegis. Here they grow biological products including sheep, chickens and pigs.

Policy/Procedure

Groups are counted and pay as a whole. If you are a couple, and 6 others are joining the group, you will be counted as a group of 8, and therefore paying prices listed. If you are one person, and 4 people join the group, you will pay as a group of 5. We will try to fill your group, because we like happy, smiling clients! Unless you prefer to have a private tour, then please let us know. Otherwise, payment as listed below. (we accept cash/check or wire transfer).

If you would like to use your own car/guide, we will make the arrangements to the Vineyards you would like to visit, to make your outing enjoyable and welcoming, which will still include tours, wine tastings, and antipasti where mentioned at the estates.

If you do not have a car, our guides supply transportation in a "Small Vineyards" car, and for 6-8 persons, a van is supplied.

50% refund 15 - 29 days prior to tour.
25% refund 14 - 1 days prior to tour.
